Trading Spaces (page 1 of 6)
Colleagues from around the country gathered in Federal Way Washington (a suburb of Seattle) for 4 days of “Trading Spaces!” We all used our brains, creativity and muscles as we worked on designing environments that allow for children to learn and spend their days in a brain happy space.
Below are a few pictures from the class. We hope these pictures can spur on some of your own creative classroom ideas. Watch for more photos in upcoming webpage updates!
Those of you who took the class, we would still love to post your pictures. Please send them to us so we can continue to add them to our sight, we all want to share in your excitement!!

Friends take the legs off of a table to lower it for floor sitting.
Tim is showing his drawing of how he uses two tables at an angle to each other for small group instruction. Children sit around the outside of the two tables; he sits in between the tables and is able to reach all the kids.

The chair from the above photo can be swiveled around to do double duty as the teaching spot for her “whole group gathering spot” and of course the “teacher work space”.
