Valentines from the Heart
Want an easy, from the heart project to do for Valentine’s Day? Here is a great one our friend and colleague made with her children for their Grandparents! These special and unique Valentines were done by 3-6 year olds, so feel free to fancy them up as appropriate! Enjoy!
Materials:

- Large Clothespins
- Various festive colors of Cardstock paper (you may want to pre-cut hearts or have templates made up for younger ones)
- Yarn (for the hair)
- Colored Pens
- Glitter Glue (less messy than pure glitter!)
- Glue
- Round Magnets
- Glue Gun (for adult use only)

- Cut out heart in proportion to the clothespin (it will be the “body”), leaving space for the face and feet.

- Write a lovely message on the heart.

- Decorate it with glitter. You can stack two different sizes and colors of hearts on top of each other for a cool effect! Glue heart on the clothespin to make the body.

- Draw a face. Color in feet.

- Glue on cut pieces of yarn for the hair.

- Have an adult glue the magnet on the back of the clothespin.

- Let sit to dry

- Give as a Valentine’s Day gift to someone special to hang on the refrigerator!
