It has been such a pleasure to have so many of you join us for our Daily 5 and Literacy Café classes.  Here are some of the most requested handouts for your use.   

Under the Daily 5 section, you will find pdfs that include the much requested Read to Self short launch form (or as we sometimes call it in our classes, ‘cheat sheet’) as well as the check-in form we use in our classroom.  The check-in form is in both pdf and Word so if you choose, go ahead and type in your own children’s names, run off a bunch and keep them on a clipboard to keep track of your children’s choices each day as they check in for Daily 5. 

Under the Literacy Café Menu section you will find our most current Literacy Café menu.  For those of you who teach in Washington State, the numbers behind each strategy refers to our state standards. 

So many of you have requested pdfs of the forms we use in our conferring notebook, we have placed them below as well.  You will find the brand new forms we use behind each child’s divider sheet in our notebook labeled Reading with Goal and Writing with Goal.  For those of you who have joined us for a Café class, these are the newly updated forms! 

You will also find our Reading Writing Check sheet.  Each time we meet with a child in either reading or writing, we put the date of the conference in the next box so we can see at a glance who has been met with or needs to be met with. 

We also are posting the 3 Box Strategy Group form that so many have requested.
