The Power of Choices
We started a brand new intermediate book room. While arranging the books, we purposefully placed them on the shelves with the covers facing outward. Now children come in as groups, and browse for books to read in their literature circles or book club. Kids are more invested in what they read, when they have authentic conversations about choosing books and full choice in their selections. Ahh Haa, the power of choices in a bookroom.
