  A Great Read Aloud
In that magic moment of finishing the chapter book, The Girl with 500 Middle Names, by Margaret Peterson Haddix and Janet Hamlin with my class, I held it close to my chest and relished the silence in the room that said, “We don’t want it to end.” One of my 8 year olds took a deep breath, let it out slowly and said, “My life will be different because we read that book!” Ahh Haa, the power of a great read aloud.
